Cranial Sacral Therapy

What is Cranial Sacral Therapy?

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle hands on treatment that provides relief from a variety  of symptoms including stomach pain, back pain, headaches, neck problems/pain , seizures, side effects from cancer treatments among many others. CST uses a light touch to examine the membranes and movement of fluids in and around the central nervous system. Relieving tension in the central nervous system promotes a feeling of wellbeing by eliminating pain and boosting health and immunity. The focus of CST is a gentle placement of hands to assist and release of the body’s connective tissue, or fascia. Fascia is a covering found throughout the body including organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels brain and spinal cord. These covering forms a body wide connective network. CST is based on the idea that the body is interrelated at all levels. CST is thought to improve efficiency of biological processes through boosting inherent self-regulation, self- correction, self-healing. The therapy can be used successfully with animals, children and adults.   (Cleveland Clinic)

So how has this helped Logan?

Cranial Sacral therapy has helped Logans immune system to become strong and healthy over time. This has helped to relieve pain, tension, headaches and insomnia. This has helped Logan with lessening the seizures by correcting the skull position and allowing for decompression on the brain. Cranial therapy has helped to relieve nervousness, behaviors, behavioral outbursts, OCD, mania (picking his toenails out until they bleed, picking fingers until they bleed), depression.  Also, better clarity, learning new things easier. Logan has been able to annunciate his words better and improved his communication skills. This therapy has improved Logans cognitive, mental and physical abilities a great deal. He was able to ride motorcycles, skateboards, bicycles and participate in basketball, running, volleyball cross country skiing before the seizures started plus this has helped with scoliosis and the hip issues he was born with. I highly recommend this Therapy. Logan has been doing this almost every week for 19 years. I believe that this therapy also added years to his life.
