1. We have Logan do a “hook up” or if he is not able, we help him to do a hook up. That is using the middle or index finger on each hand. One finger goes between the eyebrows and the other finger goes in the belly button gently pushing in and pulling upwards on both. We hold it for about 30 secs to 1 minute. We also have Logan breathe slowly. This exercise creates a connection between the central and governing meridians which strengthens the aura, increases coordination, and creates a positive neurological response to seizures. Sometimes this will delay or suspend a seizure. It is also helpful in minimizing one. Logan does this regularly throughout the day and especially before bed.

2. We rub the temples (triple warmer meridian,
which is responsible for fight, flight or freeze response) in a clockwise direction gently for about 20 – 30 secs with Linalool (is a terpene derived from Lavender), Lavender, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, or Vetiver. Putting some on the big toes and behind the neck is helpful too. This technique helps to calm the nervous system and relax the body and brain. This has stopped the onset of seizures at times. This has been helpful in minimizing the seizures at times as well.
3. We administer Granddaddy Purple which is a high THC rescue med that we use at the onset of seizures. We also use this throughout the seizure patterns to help stop or slow them down. Granddaddy purple works well for Logan. This tends to help him rest more when the seizures are present. We have found that starting at a small dose and working our way up slowly works best for Logan.
4. We have Logan sit down instructing him to breathe slowly and deeply for about 5 minutes. This paired with the above helps to calm the nervous system.
5. When Logan goes into the Grand-mal seizure do our best to turn him on his side and put a cool cloth over his forehead.
6. Hydrating with water, Zeta Crystals, and 2000 - 5000 ml of powdered vitamin C in 36 ounces of water 3x per day with a pinch of Celtic salt, plus making 3 or 4 green smoothies with protein per day (we also put chicken or red meat cooked in the smoothies sometimes). Logan has a difficult time eating when the seizures are intense, therefore it’s super important to replenish the minerals and vitamins that are lost.
7. Logan has difficulty eating food during these patterns, so we do green smoothies and add chicken or steak to help get the protein in and build up lost calories.
8. We administer Arnica pellets (a natural pain reliever) throughout the days to help with the pain. We also use Magnesium rub/Arnica cream on his back and neck.
9. We put pullups on Logan during this time to prevent bladder accidents.
During the seizure patterns (especially when there are a lot of seizures present), Logan needs to be fed and needs help drinking (holding the glass and asking him to drink) frequently. He needs to be bathed and his bottom wiped after the bathroom ensuring he is clean. We need to brush his teeth and help him at times to dress.
